The advantages are simple construction, easy maintenance, and no danger of freeze cracking or overheating. The generator set is limited by thermal load and mechanical load, the power is generally small, and the power conversion rate of the generator set is relatively low, which is not energy-saving. The air-cooler must be installed in an open cabin, which has high environmental requirements and high noise, so it is necessary to do noise reduction in the computer room. The air cooling method is more used in small gasoline generators and low power diesel generator sets.

Water-cooled generator set: The water circulates inside and outside the body, and the heat generated inside the body is taken away through the cooling water tank and the fan. Both functions are to dissipate heat into the air, and there is not much difference in use. The advantages of the water-cooled unit are ideal cooling effect, rapid and stable cooling, and high power conversion rate of the unit itself. The installation site of the water-cooled unit is limited, the environmental requirements are small, the noise is low, and a remote cooling system can be realized. The water cooling method is generally used in small diesel generators and high-power diesel generator sets.
